Senior Programmer Analyst for a Real Estate company in San Francisco.  Pays ~ $100K

Essential Skills & Qualifications:
·         Intermediate to advanced proficiency with SQL, preferably Microsoft SQL Server (up to 2008).
·         Strong working knowledge of application and SQL development as evidenced by 7 years of experience.
·         Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with MS .NET Platform (C# and/or VB).
·         Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with XML, XSD, XSL.
·         Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with Dimensional Databases and OLAP Client tools (e.g SSAS & PowerPivot).
·         Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Automation
·         Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with one or more ETL tools (e.g., SSIS).
·         Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with one or more Reporting Platforms (e.g., SSRS or Bus. Objects, Cognos).
·         Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in the use and development of Microsoft SharePoint 2010.
·         Ability to work with employees from various functional areas and understand their user needs.
·         Demonstrates sound and accurate judgment.
·         Ability to effectively respond to changing and sometimes ambiguous situations.
·         Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, tasks, and priorities to conclusion.
·         Demonstrated ability to identify and raise issues and propose oral and written solutions.
·         Strong oral and written communication skills.
·    Ability to read, to analyze, and interpret moderately complex journals, reports and documents.

Non-Essential Skills & Qualifications:
·      Beginning to Intermediate proficiency in the use and application of MS Biztalk Server 2009/2010.
·      Beginning to Intermediate proficiency in the use and application of K2 Blackpearl.
·      Beginning to intermediate proficiency in the use and application of Visual Studio Team Services 2010


Education/Experience:
·         Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Computer Sciences or related field from a four-year college or university.
·         Minimum 7 years experience as an analyst or programmer working with internal applications.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
·         Ensures high quality completion of all deliverables meeting user requirements within established timeframes.
·         Effectively develops tests, integrates, and installs software applications, tools, and reports to meet user’s business needs, increase productivity, and enhance security.
·         Effectively consults with internal customers to understand and analyze system and reporting requirements within established timeframes.
·         Prepares accurate and complete documentation of user requirements and new processes and procedures required for new or enhanced applications.
·         Monitors use, troubleshoots problems, and installs upgrades for customized and production software packages.
·         Develops, enhances and maintains custom reports using reporting tools, e.g. SQL Server Reporting Services.
·         Promptly responds to routine and non-routine questions from end-users regarding applications and follows through to ensure resolution. Promptly redirects more complex questions to appropriate staff.
·         Develops or assists in developing RFPs. Analyzes or assists in analyzing RFP responses. May provide well thought out recommendations for software application selection.
·         May monitor and coordinate the work of external software consultants ensuring quality completion of deliverables within established timeframes.
·         Ensures high technical standards are met throughout Shorenstein’s Software Development Life Cycle process including compliance with applicable procedures.
·         Coordinates with Software Quality Assurance Manager in determining quality processes to be applied on a project by project basis.
·         Maintains current knowledge of IT issues and trends and uses and shares information as appropriate.
